NPTG Announces "Music Man" Auditions

The New Players Theatre Guild of Fitchburg announces auditions for its fall production of the classic Broadway hit, celebrating its 50th anniversary, THE MUSIC MAN. Auditions are September 2, 4 & 7 @ 7pm. All auditions are at St. Bernard’s High School in Fitchburg. The show will be directed by Bob Healy with choreography by DeDe Recko. A wide range of ages is needed with parts for both adults and children. Both singing and non-singing roles are available. Dance auditions will also be at the same time. A large singing and dancing chorus is needed. Those auditioning for a singing role will be asked to sing a song of their choice and do cold readings from the script. An accompanist will be available. Non-singing roles need only read from the script. A soprano lead, a barbershop quartet, and a young boy and girl are especially necessary for this show. No auditions for chorus are necessary, just a commitment to the rehearsal schedule. Rehearsals will be on Sunday, Tuesday & Thursday evenings @ 7pm. Production dates are November 7, 8, 15 @ 8pm and November 9 & 16 @ 2pm at Lunenburg High School Auditorium. For more information contact director Bob Healy @ rlhealy@comcast.net or 978-582-0038.
